Online courses remain the same. Campus operations staff will do intermittent monitoring of virtual classes and will be actively monitoring our firstname.lastname@example.org account for remote classroom support.
REMOTE COURSE REQUIREMENTS FOR LFGSM SPRING 1 FACULTY
All classes’ BlueJeans sessions MUST be recorded.
Require that students NOT meet in person outside of class for team work.
Instructors must track and report class attendance weekly.
Send attendance numbers to Diana Booth at the end of the term at email@example.com
If using a browser, consider using Chrome for the best results.
Use a headset, microphone and high quality camera for the best student experience.
Set expectations for student video camera use – consider allowing students to turn camera off.
Classes are expected to last 3 hours. In order to grant 3 credit hours to students for your class, they must complete all required seat time.
Follow standard procedures for bringing a substitute in for your class if needed – forms available on https://my.lfgsm.edu/ics/
Go through your Canvas course and make sure all links work and content is correct.

Who do I call if I can't log into BlueJeans?
If you have trouble logging in on the night of class, contact ONTIME TECH SUPPORT at 847-574-5175. This temporary line will actively answered by our staff during the Spring 1 term.
What if I have non-urgent technical issues?
If you technical issues have that don’t require an immediate response, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org Campus Operations staff will be frequently monitoring the inbox.
Is in-person technical support available?
If you want in-person technical support to run your class, please contact email@example.com to reserve space at Lake Forest campus. We ask that you reserve space at least two business days prior to your class. We would also like two business days notice to cancel.
When will remote classes meet?
All classes meet via BlueJeans at their scheduled time.
When am I required to login to BlueJeans?
Log into BlueJeans at least 30 minutes before the start of class.
How long will LFGSM remain Virtual Classroom Only?
At this time, we will remain virtual for the rest of Spring 1 term.
